On January 22, 2009, President Obama set the "Standards and Practices for Interrogation of Individuals in the Custody or Control of the United States in Armed Conflicts" as those authorized and listed in Army Field Manual 2 22.3 (FM 2-22.3, Human Intelligence Collector Operations, issued by the Department of the Army on September 6, 2006.)
