Summer Hiatus

|
I began blogging to highlight the information contained in online resources.  Feedback I've received indicates that this type of information is beneficial to the academic community. Today marks the last class day for the term and summer break follows final exams.  My blogging will be on hiatus until classes start up again in the Fall.

However, during this time others will continue to post blog entries on issues important to library patrons such as changes in hours or holidays.  So check here from time to time for messages about the law library.

Good luck on finals, and enjoy the summer.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but the library stairs are closed this afternoon for painting.  You can use the elevator instead.

Library Hours during Break

|
The Library will be closing at 4:30 on Friday, February 20th, and will remain closed for the weekend.  (N.B.  I'm aware that there is an MPRE review on Saturday, and I have notified the "Door Masters" that the doors must be open for it.)  Monday through the rest of the week, we'll have regular hours for your research and studying pleasure.  Here's a link to our calendar on line.

The Law Library at Franklin Pierce Law Center welcomes alumni to come and use its resources.  It's free.  Just sign in when you enter.  Stop by and say "hello" while you're here.  We'd love to see you again.

"Legally Blonde" and "Liar, Liar"

|
The library's DVD collection is growing!!  For those of you who are new, the library maintains a collection of DVD's of films with "legal themes."  Our new entries are from the ABA Journal's List of the "25 Greatest Legal Movies" and now include some comedies (the aforementioned "Legally Blonde,") as well as suspense ("Cape Fear," "Fatal Attraction," and "Body Heat,") and the just plain creepy ("Devil's Advocate.")  All these DVD's are free to check out for a week for students, faculty and staff.  So, come on in and check one out!

Stormy Weather

|
Okay, here's the scoop.  If the building's open (even if there are no classes) the library is open.  If the whole darn place is closed, the library is closed too.

Sum and Substance

|
We received a suggestion that the library purchase a "Sum and Substance" CD on agency and partnership.  This is a great idea!  Unfortunately, there isn't one.  The library maintains a collection of ALL S&S CD's available from West Publishing. Sorry.

Don't Miss It!

|
Professor Jon Cavicchi will be hosting a pizza infused training class entitled, "Strategic Use of the web in the IP job search."  This class is not your typical "monster.com" kinda class.  Jon is a master.  Come to Room 103, Thursday the 29th at 1:00.

Food for Fines

|
Do you owe late fees to the Library?  From now until Friday, November 21st, bring in a non perishable food item to "pay" your fines.  You'll be free from fines, AND you'll help out the community.  All food collected will be donated to Concord's Friendly Kitchen.
